On summer river trips it can be used in conjunction with an overhead tarp. In desert or tropical environments there are many times when this lightweight shelter could protect you from the "little crawlies" that might try to share your bed. It can also be used as protection from these critters in certain indoor sleeping arrangements. If you travel enough, you will eventually stay in a hostel with some of these unwanted guests and your Bug Bivy will save the night.

Machine wash cold in powder detergent. Drip dry. Or simply wipe with a damp sponge and hang to dry. Always be certain the sack is completely dry before storing it in the stuff sack for any length of time. Mildew will grow on the bivy if it is stored wet.
